Done with the LSAT!!!
When its time to party we will party hard!
First the big news……I AM DONE WITH THE LSAT (In case you couldn’t figure that out from the title). 5 and a half hours of pain this morning. I was up at 6am thanks to a wake up call from Elijah and wasn’t done until after 2pm. It was a non stop think-rush-write-rush-read-rush-sweat-rush session, but I think I did pretty well.
Yesterday was my day of relax in order to get to the happy place
I went and saw a movie, got some new camera toys at the store, and got a massage at Burke Williams. After two half hour steam sessions at the spa and dip in the hot tub, I was ready to fall asleep as soon as I got into bed. I got a ton of rest and woke up ready to kill.
The first section I did was the reading comprehension. I didn’t get to 2 of the questions which isn’t too bad. Then came 3 logical reasoning sections. Two of them went really well with me not getting to 2 questions on one and 3 questions on the other. The one in the middle, however, was MURDEROUS! I didn’t do 6 of the questions and I was unsure about a lot of the ones that I did. Now there are only supposed to be two logical reasoning sections on the exam which means that 1 of the 3 I did was experimental and won’t be graded. I really hope that it was the tough one…..fingers crossed.
The last section of the multiple choice part was the analytical reasoning – AKA logic games from hell. My problem from day one was not that I couldn’t do the questions. I actually found this section to be the easiest one of all and would often get 100% or only 1 wrong when done untimed. The problem came in trying to get through the section in only 35 minutes. I frequently would spend an hour and a half getting through the section. This one section was killing my scores even though it was the section I felt was the easiest (untimed).
I spent the better portion of the last 3 months working on getting through this section quicker….and it looks like my efforts paid off. It was the only section on the actual test that I finished completely and put my pencil down before time was up
:):):):):)!!!!!! I felt the most confident about how I did on this section, and can’t wait to see the final score.
I was soooo buzzed coming off this that the writing sample was a breeze. The writing sample is not scored, but it is sent to all the schools along with your scores. My topic was analyzing a short piece written on aging. I had good points and enough time to proof read my essay so I am not too worried about it.
All in all, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Tomorrow I am going to have a ceremony and throw all the books I used to study in the garbage can :

When i got home from the test, I found a nice little surprise in the mail. My paper diploma has finally arrived. It even includes a signature from the governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger:

I am so proud:

Anyway….after such a brutal testing day, I NEED some sleep….good night!

Nice signature! Mine has the only CA governor to get recalled and it says Friday, June 13, 2003. Two marks there! Congrats on finishing your exam man! I’m sure that you scored well into what you need to get into UCLA or whatever school you want to attend. Have fun studying for your next test!
