Happy Holidays
I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone 圣诞快乐 (Merry Christmas) from China. My posts have been lagging quite a bit lately, and I just wanted to let all of you know that you are in my thoughts and that I miss you.
Things here are going quite well and I will try to start posting to the blog regularly to fill you in on all the new stuff. Christmas has been…..ummm….painful. I detest the Chinese version of the holiday in which people do nothing but spend cash. Many people think that the holiday in the states has been comercialized. The holiday in China is at a whole other level. I detest the shopping centers that have transformed the day into a spend-a-thon via dozens of sales and promotions, and I detest all the hotels that offer banquets at 10 times the normal price. Anyway, we are almost through the holiday season, and life will be back to normal (until Chinese New Year starts
)
My love to all…..
Andy

Andy! So good to hear that you are okay and still alive in China. Give me a call when you get the chance, preferably at a normal hour Hawai’i time! Happy Holidays! Love and Aloha and Big Hugs.

Good to hear you’re still alive and well
Sorry the holiday sucks so much there, but hey, just look at it this way: even if banquets cost 10 times as much as usual, that’s still half what they cost here on a normal day!

Way to go, Andy! Those lines from you mean so much. Keep ‘em coming. We love you and miss you. Mom

Can’t say that the holiday season here has been any different. E-mails telling you of sales, sales, sales and more sales. I’m sure that its on a whole new level over there though. Hopefully you are getting some good quality time with your girlfriend. It’s nice to see a post from you in such a long time.
I know that you’ve been following along at least on my side of things. Wish me luck this week as I head to class at ASA. Should be fun. At least I’ll be having buddy passes and such and even be able to ride on any skyteam aircraft. Maybe this year round, I’ll be able to visit. I’m suppose to be based in LAX. We’ll see if that changes in the next 3 months knowing the business.
Talk to you soon!

It was great talking to you last night! Nice to hear everything is going well at your end..looking forward to seeing you in April! (grandpa’s still unsure about his schedule). Mikey emptied the pool….its very difficult to drink and pee at the same time you know….he also left you a present in the jacuzzi. Weather is great for december, only in the 50’s…Krista still needs 3 winter coats though. We share your views about the holiday’s being an excuse to take advantage. Up yours….ching chong
Rachel and Grandpa
p.s did you get the chanukah bush into your apartment?

Hola Andres!!
